Traditional Douglas Fir reddish coloured Bark Mulch used for topdressing landscape planter beds or in and around shrubs. Really nice well composted small mulch, easy to spread and not chunky (1" minus in size).

  • Weed suppression and water retention during dry periods.
  • Applied in sufficient layer (3-4 inches deep), it will prevent weed seeds from taking root.
  • Mulch keeps soil cool and moist during hot periods and protects roots during frost.
  • Size is "One inch minus". It's referred to in this manner because that's the size of the screen the mulch has to pass through when its being sorted. So this is a small fine (not chunky or nuggets) bark mulch.

    Exceeded my expectations

    The whole experience was very convenient, from the ordering online to the actual delivery. The truck driver was very friendly and placed the bag exactly where I wanted. The mulch was better than I expected and was so convenient to use; no big piles blocking the driveway or flattening the lawn.

    Can't think of a better way

    I can't think of a better way to order and receive bark mulch. The product itself is excellent - uniform size and colour. Great quality. (Fingers crossed it'll help with weed control.) Delivery was a breeze, and having three bright yellow bags dropped in front of my property made me the talk of the neighbourhood (in a good way). The bags made post-delivery cleanup effortless. And here's a hint if you don't have your own wheelbarrow -- use your City garbage or green-waste bin to haul material from one side of your property to the other.

    Some girls order clothes and shoes on-line. I ordered Bark Mulch. Not the ordinary, boring, plastic-bag kind! Oh no! I ordered the GOOD stuff. Wonderful, fresh, earthy mulch. Lovely reddish brown color when dry and warm dark brown when rained on. The color and texture go so well in a garden of green. Complimentary wherever you put it, and believe me, I put it everywhere! I didn't think I could dig to the bottom of the gigantic yellow bag, but I just kept going. My neighbor asked if she could have some and I said NO! All you have to do is order from - mygardenbag.com
